How it All Began
“I am not my hair” is one of the biggest misconceptions. If it’s not apart of our identity, why would be so pressed to keep it up? Why are we slicking it back for interviews and throwing on wigs for first dates?
Being melanated comes with so much variety in style, hair, and culture, but it, also, comes with its challenges- one of them being our hair. For those of us with kinky curly/tightly coiled textures it’s hard out here in these streets. There are so many products to sift and sort through, so many Youtubers and bloggers to try to identify with, and so many Dos and Don’ts to uncover all just to take care of what God gave us.

Whether you need a full Oil ID & Hair Product Analysis, a hair and scalp detox, a protective style, or a 1-on-1 personal styling session, we are here to cater to those who want a salon home or are looking to manage your hair yourselves but with some guidance.

The Mission
For Textured Hair, LLC was created to assist with navigating the natural hair journey by providing consultations, tutorials, and other services. While we understand that all curly girls need love, we specialize in Type 4 textured hair. It is from our experience that people with tightly coiled/ kinky curly/ highly textured hair have the least amount of beneficial knowledge to maintain it yet needs the most TLC of all textures.
